One of the best ways to boost your mood is to improve your diet and start eating healthier. There are many mood boosting foods you can incorporate into your diet, and it is no surprise that they are on the healthier side. Some of these foods for your mood include: blueberries, spinach, avocados, eggs and broccoli. Adding fruits and vegetables into your diet is good for you in general, but imagine also getting the added bonus of getting a natural mood boost.

Other foods that improve mood and improve your health are nuts, more specifically walnuts, coconut and pistachios. And don’t think that the only foods for depression and anxiety are boring and healthy. Some fun food options that boost mood include dark chocolate, honey and good old orange juice. These mood enhancers are natural and all three options are easy to incorporate into your diet and come with the added bonus of tasting delicious.

So picture this. You start your morning with a nice bowl of greek yogurt, blueberries and a drizzle of honey to enhance the naturally sweet flavors of the blueberries. You can even include a side of eggs for some extra protein if you work out or just enjoy a harrier breakfast. After, you have a nice tall glass of orange juice to help energize you for the rest of the day with its citrusy goodness.

For lunch, you can have spinach and avocado salad with your choice of protein and dressing. Throughout the day, you can snack on walnuts or pistachios or both, and maybe even throw in a little dark chocolate if you have a sweet tooth.

To complete your day of eating mood-boosting foods, you can have a succulent salmon fillet with broccoli and purple potatoes as your sides for dinner. And right before bed, you can make yourself a cup of green tea (another natural mood enhancer) and mix in some honey to lull you to sleep at night.

Any combination of the foods listed above can help improve your mood. All you have to do is find the right combinations to include into your diet, even if it is only a little at a time.
