With the GoodRx mobile app, it’s quite easy to scan your local area and find the cheapest drug prices. It also has wide coverage, with over 70,000 pharmacies in its network. It also has a premium program starting at $5.99 for individuals and $9.99 for an individual and additional (up to 5!) family members. With the premium program, GoodRx promises you’ll save more money on prescriptions.

SingleCare is a bit smaller than GoodRx in terms of its geographical extent, but still includes over 35,000 pharmacies in its network. The cool thing about SingleCare is that discounts “stack up” – with the Bonus Savings Program, you’ll get money off of new prescriptions for every previous one filled. Sign up with them and you’ll get a $5 discount on your next prescription right from the get-go.

ScriptSave WellRx includes more than 65,000 pharmacies in the United States, but also some in Puerto Rico and Guam. You can use their app to compare drug prices in the area, but for actual purchases, you must present your discount pharmacy card to the pharmacist. According to their website, the average of their prescription drug discounts comes in at 60 percent.

RxSaver covers over 60,000 pharmacies and claims to offer discounts as high as 80 percent off retail prices. The Rx Advocacy program is especially helpful to adults who suffer from chronic conditions that require costly maintenance medications. You’ll have to weigh the cost and benefits, though, as this program costs $60 a month.

All four prescription discount programs described above are rated A + with the Better Business Bureau, so you can rest assured they are legitimate. Keep in mind that one program may offer the drug you need at a lower price than another program, so you may as well download several apps and compare, just to be sure you’re saving as much money as possible.
